Toshi Ichiyanagi Death Reason
He got married really early in his life and he tied the knot in 1956 but it diverged after 6 years in 1962. He was living in New York City between 1954 and 1960 when he went to the new school of social research for studying Music as he was really passionate about it. Battle hi he made the decision to come back to his Homeland and his wife remained in New York so it was not working as a long-distance relationship. Toshi returned to Japan in 1960 and started producing exceptional projects with Harmonica and Shamisen.

Some of his well-known works are 1982/86 Engen for koto and orchestra, and the 1983 Violin Concerto “Circulating Scenery”. Some of his traditional Japanese instrument projects are 1988 Sensing the Color in the Wind for shakuhachi and 2 kotos,1988 Prāna for ryuteki, hichiriki, sho, kugo, hensho and dancer. He received the Suntory award in 2001 and he was honoured with Japan’s order of culture. The cause of death is still unknown but he most probably died because of natural causes. He continued working.

And he did not take up an official retirement. HE completely transformed the way the general public looked at traditional music up and he was the Revolutionary in this field and we were really lucky that he grew up in this era and give his insights.
