After that on 25th March 2020, he was feeling unhealthy and lethargic. His family checked the oxygen level of blood through a pulse oximeter which viewed that it was just 85%. The son of Marc Lewitinn, Albert who is a Television producer by profession instantly admitted him to Weill Cornell Medicine in the emergency room which is located in New York. The medical institute was flooded with patients and the medical staff were wearing hazmat suits it took many hours for whoever wanted to meet or watch him. That night doctor tested him and found him COVID positive. After 6 days, his oxygen level was constantly decreasing and the medical staff decided to cannulate and cause a coma.
What Happened With Marc Lewitinn?
The doctors informed their family of Marc that there was the highest chance of him to get passed away and he would leave the world some days in the starting months of the pandemic particularly. The doctor explained to his family the chances of survival for intubated Coronavirus patients were only 50% whether an old man was dealing with it or a young or healthier person. The retired shopkeeper of Manhattan stabilized and then recovered from coronavirus but after the encounter with the lethal disease his body was too weak and he was remain on the ventilator. ] 6 months later, Marc was brought out coma and later on shifted to another medical institution which was lost to his house in New Jersey. He spent nearly 850 days in that hospital on a ventilator but on 23rd July 2022, he passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest and took his last breath at Palisades Medical Center which is located in North Bergen in New Jersey. At the time of passing, he was 76 years old. His passing news was officially asserted by his son, Albert.
